Joshua Duvall Successfully Completes Renewal Requirements for Gold-Standard Cybersecurity Certification
Pleased to announce that blog founder and Maynard Nexsen shareholder, Joshua Duvall, has successfully fulfilled the 120 continuing professional education ("CPE") requirements by (ISC)² to renew his Certified Information Systems Security Professional ("CISSP"), a certification he has held since March 2018.
The CISSP is a globally recognized vendor-neutral cyber certification that confirms technical knowledge and experience to build and manage the overall information security and risk posture of an organization. A CISSP is typically required by the world’s most security-conscious organizations – including the Department of Defense (8140/8570) and other federal and state agencies – and it is often viewed as a benchmark qualification for senior cybersecurity leaders. Widely known as the "gold-standard" cybersecurity certification, the CISSP designation assures information security and business leaders of the individual's breadth and depth of knowledge in information security.
As part of his law practice, Josh counsels and represents companies of all sizes in government contracting and cybersecurity matters, including bid protests, administrative litigation, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity risk management, cyber policies and procedures, data breach incident response, business transactions, internal and regulatory investigations, and small business matters. Prior to practicing law, Josh worked for small and mid-size government contractors in the DC Beltway as a malware analyst and information security professional.
